Nasirov is being convicted for participating in the Onishchenko gas scheme.
The Shevchenko district court of Kiev on March 4 reduced the bail for the former head of the State Fiscal Service (SFS) of Ukraine, Roman Nasirov, from 100 million to 36 million UAH. This is reported on the page of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) on Facebook.
It is noted that such a decision was made by the court out of its own consideration and in accordance with the size of the civil claim in the criminal proceedings.
Also during the meeting, the preventive measures of the defendants in the case were extended – the ex-Chairman of the SFS of Ukraine and the Head of the SFS of Ukraine.
The next meeting is scheduled for March 14, 2019.
At the court hearing, the prosecution did not read a single page of the indictment.
It needs to be reminded that on November 10, 2017, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office submitted to the court an indictment against Nasirov. According to the investigation, in the period from May 2015 to March 2016, Nasirov made a number of illegal decisions regarding the schedule of payments of rent payments for the use of subsoil for companies involved in the Onishchenko gas scheme for a total of 2.019 billion UAH.
However, the government decided to dismiss Nasirov from the post of the Chairman of SFS on January 31 of this year. This was requested by the Ministry of Finance.
Nasirov managed to visit the Lukyanovka SIZO. So, the Solomensky court of Kiev placed him in custody for 60 days, however, bail in the amount of UAH 100 million was promptly paid for the official.
Recently, the district administrative court of Kiev decided to restore Roman Nasirov as Head of the SFS. The Cabinet appealed against the decision of the court.
