The period of stay without a visa in the territory of Uruguay will be 90 days, but then the visa can be extended.
From February 15, Uruguay introduced a visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens.
This was reported on Friday by the Embassy of Ukraine in Argentina, which also serves as the embassy in Uruguay.
“The allowed period of stay without a visa in the territory of Uruguay will be 90 days for citizens of Ukraine,” the embassy reported. Diplomats added that the period may be extended for a new term of 90 days.
For a visa-free trip to Uruguay, you must have a valid passport document of a citizen of Ukraine to travel abroad, seafarer’s identity card or identity card to return to Ukraine (in case of loss of a passport abroad and return to Ukraine).
Currently, Ukraine is negotiating to simplify the visa regime or introduce visa-free with 22 countries.
