The Russian Foreign Ministry sent Ukraine a note accusing Kiev of violating the treaty of friendship with Russia.
This was reported by the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that Ukraine, in particular, violated article 6 of the treaty in which the parties take responsibility to “not enter into any agreements with third countries against the other side of the treaty.”
Russia also accuses Ukraine of violating the article, according to which the parties guarantee “the protection of the ethnic, cultural, linguistic and religious identity of national minorities on their territory.”
“We have detailed all this in the appropriate note at the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine,” the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.
In addition, the Russian Foreign Ministry urged Kiev to “adhere to its bilateral and international obligations not in words but in deeds.”
