To achieve this mainland population of Russia is actively relocated to Crimea.
This was stated by “Espresso.TV”.
The intensive relocation of the population of mainland Russia to the occupied Ukrainian Crimea and forced deportation of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars is explained by the Kremlin’s intention to re-conduct the so-called “referendum” on the status of this territory, which, they believe, will finally “legitimize” the annexation of Crimea. This was claimed by Guyana Yuksel a member of the Mejlis of the Crimea of the Tatar people of in the program “Political marinade”.
“From 500 thousand to 800 thousand people have already been transported to the peninsula. What is the purpose of this? This is done so that no one on the peninsula remembers, does not mention Ukraine. Especially to expel the remaining activists. I would not be surprised if tomorrow we hear from Russia about the second “referendum,” she noted.
At the same time, Yuksel explained how the Russian propaganda justifies this relocation: “The first so-called referendum was not recognized, so now let’s negotiate with the international community, with Ukraine, and ask the residents of Crimea: how are state of things in Crimea now and do they agree to return to Ukraine. Let’s do another, the second referendum”.
That is why, the politician stressed, the leadership of Russia has developed a special program for the settlement of the peninsula by people loyal to the Kremlin, mainly from the power structures, and Moscow allocates $ 30,000 for each such family. “In order to buy a one-room apartment or build a house,” Yuksel noted.
Earlier we wrote that after the occupation of the Crimea, Russia has already lost more than 150 billion dollars because of the sanctions.
