Lavrov claims that Ukraine is negotiating with NATO to break through the Kerch Strait together.
The Russian foreign minister claims that the Ukrainian authorities are “preparing a new provocation” in the Kerch Strait and it will involve NATO forces.
This was announced on Thursday by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a briefing for representatives of the Association of European Businesses, reports TASS.
“Now they are preparing another breakthrough in violation of the rules for the passage of this difficult water area,” said Lavrov.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry says that the naval forces of Ukraine are going to make an attempt to break through “without any requests, without observing security measures, without pilots”.
“And, as I was told, the NATO countries are being approached with an invitation to send their representatives to these ships in order to break through the Kerch Strait together with NATO,” said Lavrov.
