Alan Duncan said that the normalization of relations between Britain and Russia is still out of the question.
During the debate in the House of Commons Conservative Party member UK of the United Kingdom, John Whittingdale assured Ukraine of the unanimous support because of Russia’s annexation of the Crimea. The following video was published by the Embassy of Ukraine in the United Kingdom.
“I hope that these debates and those who take part in them will demonstrate that the House of Commons of the Parliament of Great Britain is dominated by the unanimous support of Ukraine in the illegal occupation of part of its territory and the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation,” he said during the debate.

In addition, during the debate, the chief representative of the British Foreign Ministry, Alan Duncan, said that the normalization of Britain’s relations with Russia cannot be discussed until it respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Crimea was illegally annexed by Russia in March 2014 after a “referendum”, which was not recognized by either Ukraine or the world community. “Crimean referendum” was not recognized by the UN.
