He said that now is not the time to change the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Sergei Krivonos decided to withdraw his candidacy from the presidential elections in Ukraine and support Petro Poroshenko.
He reported about it on Facebook.
“I carefully evaluate every step. Therefore, while there is a war and the possibility of open aggression by our main enemy of the Russian Federation is too big, I had to make a weighted and very difficult decision for myself to withdraw my candidacy from the further race for the presidency of Ukraine,” wrote Krivonos.
Instead, he decided to support Petro Poroshenko in the upcoming presidential election.
“I consider today, in the conditions that the state is in, it is not advisable to change the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” added Krivonos.
Serhiy Kryvonos – First Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, non-partisan, was for presidency nominated from the “ATO Warriors” party.
