Ukrainian boxer Volodymyr Klitschko invites presidential candidates Volodymyr Zelensky and Petro Poroshenko to take tests at the international organization World Anti-Doping Agency.
He wrote about this on April 5 on Facebook.
According to the athlete, the morning news about the “doping control” of the candidates for the presidency of Ukraine surprised and ridiculed him.
“Yes, if athletes passed tests for doping like this, they would all be supermen. After all, both of them did it separately and in his ‘own laboratory,’” he wrote.
“If you are so open and interested in an objective result, then do it by the proven respected method in the international organization World Anti-Doping Agency,” added the brother of the Mayor of Kiev.
Klitschko told that he can help to organize this, “so that it does not look so handicraft, as it is now,” and asked the candidates to rely on professionals.
According to him, he has already sent a request about the possibility of such tests in WADA and hopes that the presidential candidates will not be denied.
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is an independent organization which was founded in 1999 to coordinate the fight against doping in sport.
It needs to be reminded that on April 5, Zelensky and Poroshenko did testing for drugs and alcohol in two separate clinics. Zelensky donated only blood, and Poroshenko donated blood, urine, and hair.
