The presidential candidate also addressed the post-Soviet countries saying that “Everything is possible.”
Volodymyr Zelensky thanked his loved ones for their support and addressed other post-Soviet countries as soon as the preliminary results of the exit poll became known.
“As long as I am not yet a president, I can say, as a citizen of Ukraine, to all the countries of the post-Soviet Union: Look at us. Everything is possible,” said Zelensky.
He also thanked his relatives, including his parents for support, and his wife for strength and restraint, by saying that: “If she had heard everything about me that was said before (ed. – during his presidential campaign) then perhaps she wouldn’t marry me.”
The presidential candidate also expressed his gratitude to his team, staff, experts, lawyers, volunteers, observers, call-center; “Mrs. Oksana and Mrs. Luyba, who cleaned after those I mentioned above (ed. – his political rivals and their teams).”
“Thanks to ‘Kvartal 95’, however, after what I saw it can now be called ‘Kvartal 73’,” Zelensky joked, referring to his 73% of votes.
He recalled law enforcement officers, representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine, servicemen, and volunteers, journalists and Ukrainians (who supported him or not).
“I promise I will never let you all down,” Volodymyr Zelensky stated.
