

Within the last 24 hours, Ukrainian National Police registered another 59 reports of violation of the electoral process.
Most violations occurred in Chernihiv – 10, Zaporizhia – 8, Kiev – 6, Sumy – 5.
Jn February 18 in the city of Kiev an unknown person motivated with hooliganism using the knife damaged the campaign tent of a candidate for the President of Ukraine. A criminal proceeding was initiated in accordance with Part 4 of Art. 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
On the same day in the town of Romny in Sumy region, the police received a message that the bribing of voters in favor of a candidate for the post of President of Ukraine was being carried out in that town. According to this fact, a criminal proceeding was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 160 (Bribing a voter …) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the electoral process, the territorial divisions of the National Police have registered 1,536 reports related to the violations of the electoral process. Most incidents occurred in Kiev, Dnipro, Odessa, Cherkasy, and Kharkiv regions
Majority of these incidents are involving illegal agitation, bribing voters, property damage and hooliganism. In total, 66 criminal proceedings were initiated.
