The CEC on February 22 unveiled information about the intention to conclude an agreement with the state enterprise the “Poligraficheskij Kombinat Ukraina” to produce of ballot papers for candidates for the presidency. The sum of the agreement is 166.36 million UAH.

The Central Election Commission (CEC) chose the “Poligraficheskij Kombinat” through a negotiation procedure, referring to the law “On the election of the President of Ukraine”, which stipulates that the ballots are strictly accountable documents containing degrees of protection.
It is noted that “Poligraficheskij Kombinat” is the only company that has the material and technical base and production facilities necessary for the production of ballot papers and can produce ballot papers in the required quantity and within the deadlines established by law.
In accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On the Election of the President of Ukraine”, the CEC must ensure the production of ballots within 16 calendar days.
The ProZorro system says that the CEC intends to order production and packaging services for 60 million 359 thousand 600 ballots.
