The Ministry of Health is ready to provide all necessary support to the team of the new President.
Health Minister Uliana Suprun said that the presidential elections in Ukraine will not affect the work of the Ministry of Health, and assured that the cancelation of reforms made over the past few years will not happen. Suprun wrote about this on her Facebook page.
“We began the transformation of the health care system in times of war, political instability and stiff resistance from everywhere. Since 2016, we have been working in the conditions of the constant threat of ‘rollback’ [ed. – return to the previous system]. But the transformation continues. We are constructing every stage of reforms so that the new health care system continues to operate and develop independently of political events,” Suprun said.
She added that the main factor of the inevitability of changes in the Ministry of Health was 27 million Ukrainians, who chose their family doctor, therapist or pediatrician. “70% are satisfied with the doctors with whom they signed the declaration”.
Suprun also noted that for its part, the Ministry of Health is ready to provide all the necessary support for the new President’s team to get acquainted with the real results and future plans for the transformation of the health care system.
