Sergei Leshchenko and another expert claimed Poroshenko would run away in case of loss in the upcoming elections.
On his YouTube channel, the parliamentarian noted that in the event of a loss, the new authorities, as well as the Ukrainians themselves, will want punishment for Poroshenko so the for him it would be most logical to leave the country.
“Poroshenko deserves punishment because he was engaged not just in some unscrupulous things, but in banal dull corruption and covered the corruption of his friends as President,” Leschenko said.
Poroshenko can hide, in his opinion, either in Spain, where he has real estate or in Moldova, where his “business partner, oligarch Vladimir Plakhotnyuk” lives.
Earlier we reported that Leshchenko and Mustafa Nayem submitted an application to withdraw from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc (PPB) faction. The Deputy noted that he does not want to be associated with those who openly lead the counter-revolution. Also, Deputy Svetlana Zalischuk left the faction.
Also recently, the ex-Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Vladimir Lanovoy, suspected Poroshenko of preparing to escape from the country because of the sale of part of the business.
According to the expert, the conflict in the Donbas makes Poroshenko profit thanks to major corruption schemes in the defense sector, including the purchase of “defective military components from Russia”.
He notes that the authorities buy defective components at inflated prices, and most defense contracts are related to Poroshenko and his environment, factories, while enterprises often delay production of equipment.
In addition, instead of producing “the newest weapons that are more powerful than the Russian,” the country produces “morally awkward weapons of the Soviet era,” and the strategic management as a whole does not meet NATO standards.
“All these circumstances together form an unattractive picture of the state of our army. It remains weak, morally obsolete, lacking the necessary degree of technical and military means, ” Lanovoy writes in her article for the Glavred publication.
He sees the cause of the problems in corruption and in Poroshenko himself.
In his opinion, the President deserves an impeachment. However, the ex-minister does not exclude that Poroshenko will run away from Ukraine, and this is evidenced by the fact that he is selling his assets, in particular, the Leninsky smithy.
