It is currently unknown who will be the new Head of Foreign Intelligence.
President Petro Poroshenko dismissed the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Yegor Bozhko.
This is evidenced by a decree published on the website of Poroshenko on Tuesday, March 12.
Bozhko was appointed to this position in September 2017.
The Foreign Intelligence Service is a government agency that carries out intelligence activities in the political, economic, military-technical, scientific-technical, informational and environmental fields.
On October 1, 2018, in the “Our Money” program, journalists announced the results of their own investigation into the state of the First Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergey Semotchko.
His family allegedly owns three houses with a total value of about 8 million USD, and relatives have Russian passports.
According to journalists Semochko’s relatives are constantly traveling from Kiev to the annexed Crimea.
On October 3, it was reported that NABU has initiated a criminal prosecution against the Deputy Chairman of Foreign Intelligence, Sergei Semochko, on the article “illegal enrichment.”
Later, the SBU reported that the criminal proceedings under the article “treason” were initiated.
Semochko himself said that he did not have millions of dollars worth of houses near Kiev, and his wife was exclusively a citizen of Ukraine.
