
Early in the morning several SUV’s with tinted windows and flashing lights entered the occupied Donbass region crossing the Russian border. Cars were labeled “The Republic of South Ossetia”.
This was reported by OSCE on February 6.
Observers noticed two black SUVs with tinted windows and without any specific signs, which arrived from the Russian Federation at 5:31. One of the cars used flashers. SUV’s were accompanied by a car that also used flashers. All cars proceeded with priority through the checkpoint in the direction of the occupied part of Ukraine.
“Due to weather conditions and because of their location, observers could not notice the vehicle license plates or any signs,” states the report.
On February 8, the motorcade arrived at the Donetsk checkpoint with Ukraine (the occupied part) at 16:21, passing the border control with priority.
All three cars were labeled “The Republic of South Ossetia”. The first car was an escort car with flashing lights. The second car, a black Toyota Land Cruiser, wore plates Nr. The 001 ППС and the third vehicle, another black Toyota Land Cruiser, also used flashing lights with numbers Nr. 100 пп. All three cars headed towards the border with the Russian Federation.
