Groysman said that is ready to allow only one-way flights of Ukrainian politics to Russia on an old AN-2 biplane.
The Cabinet of Ministers supported the proposal of the Ministry of the Interior to ban irregular flights between Ukraine and the Russian Federation after the visit of the pro-Russian Deputy of the “Opposition Platform – For Life” Yuriy Boyko and Viktor Medvedchuk to the Russian Federation.
The corresponding draft resolution was announced by the Minister of the Interior Arsen Avakov at a government meeting.
“We did an analysis of the circumstances of this flight. Boyko smartly took advantage of a loophole in our legislation. Received the appropriate approval of the FSB of Russia and by the direct flight “Kiev-Moscow” arrived at negotiations with the Prime Minister of the Aggressor State,” said Avakov.
“Therefore, the draft resolution ‘On Amendments to the Regulation on the Use of Ukraine’s Airspace ‘ was submitted for consideration. This resolution was developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in order to protect state security and divert possible threats to national security by preventing irregular flights between Ukraine and the Aggressor State” added the Minister.
According to Avakov, restrictive measures were applied to a number of Russian airlines in the form of restricting partial or full transit of resources, flights or traffic to the territory of Ukraine.
At the same time, according to the Minister, these prohibitions did not apply to irregular flights between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
