Families of deceased soldiers are proposed to choose the date for the Day of Remembrance.
The Ministry of Veterans of Ukraine plans to introduce the Day of Remembrance of the Perished Participants of the Russian-Ukrainian War. This was reported on Friday, March 22 in the press service of the Ministry.
It is reported that families of the deceased servicemen will choose the date for the Day of Remembrance.
“The ministry supports the initiative to determine a specific date for the memory of the fallen soldiers and the introduction of a nationwide Day to honor their memory. But such a date should be chosen by the families of the victims themselves. It is their proposal that we will offer to the top management for consideration and approval,” said Oksana Gavrilyuk, Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs.
Following the meeting of the working group, it was decided to conduct a survey among family members of the victims.
The survey will be carried out by representatives of relevant public organizations in each area. The collected data will be processed and transferred to senior management.
