The former Head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) stated that this summons is an attempt to discredit the achievements in the financial sector of Ukraine.
She stated this in the commentary to “Interfax-Ukraine“.
“The main problem of our country is unreformed courts and law enforcement agencies, and now all this can negate all our achievements of the recent years,” she believes.
As the former head of the NBU said, she had never seen and was not acquainted with the former President, Viktor Yanukovych, or the former Head of the NBU and the former First Deputy to Prime Minister, Sergei Arbuzov, or the runaway businessman, Sergey Kurchenko.
“And I never had anything with the agreement under which they fabricated suspicions to me,” said Valeria Gontareva.
Gontareva noted that she now lives and works in London and is ready to meet with the Prosecutor there and provide all the evidence.
“They often flew to Ihor Kolomoisky [ed. – the ex-owner of Privatbank] in Switzerland and [businessman] Dmitry Firtash in Austria, so let them fly to London. I want to note one thing – I am the main enemy of Kolomoisky, he did not hide this in all public interviews. So not only he knows it, but the whole world knows it,” said the former Head of the NBU.
Earlier, we reported that the Prosecutor’s General Office summoning Gontareva and people from Poroshenko’s entourage to receive suspicions.
