The leader of the “DPR” Denis Pushilin is open to direct negotiations with Kiev to achieve peace in the Donbas.
Pro-Kremlin media reported that the insurgent leader Pushilin spoke in support of “Ukrainian opposition politicians.”
“Donbass has consistently advocated the continuation of negotiations in Minsk, and we strongly support the initiative of Ukrainian opposition politicians aimed at intensifying negotiations. We express readiness for a direct dialogue with Kiev. We responsibly declare that we are ready to achieve peace between Ukraine and Donbas,” – said Pushilin.
In addition, he appealed to the guarantors of the Minsk agreements – German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron to influence the head of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, and contribute to the organization of direct and in his opinion productive negotiations.
