Poltorak says that while he has not met with Zelensky yet but will continue to fulfill his duties.
Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said that he had not met with the elected President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky but if he did he would be ready to report to him on the state of the Armed Forces, reforms and so on.
“Pryamoy” reports that Poltorak told about it to journalists during a working trip to the Kharkiv.
“I did not have any negotiations with the newly elected President of Ukraine. I would like to say that I am a civilized person, I will act within the framework of current legislation and I think that now, when such a meeting takes place, I am ready to report on the state of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reforms, tasks, my vision of the future The Armed Forces of Ukraine,” said Poltorak.
He added that, in his opinion, everyone should act within authority – the newly elected President within his authority, the Minister of Defense within his.
The Minister of Defense stressed that he would fulfill his functional duties, as long as he was trusted by the President, the Verkhovna Rada [ed. – Ukrainian Parliament] and the people of Ukraine.
