In the remaining time as President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko will reward everyone who helped him to remain in power, as well as create problems for the future President Volodymyr Zelensky.
This was stated by the Head of the analytical center “The Third Sector” Andriy Zolotarev to the correspondent of GolosUA.
“The remaining last weeks of work, the current President signs laws similar to those that Yushchenko had previously passed on conferring the title of heroes of Ukraine to Bandera and Shukhevych, but only with the difference that Poroshenko will award for services rendered to the acting President,” the expert said.
According to Zolotarev, most of all it concerns those who most of all shout about decommunization, but at the same time they are not at all confused by the remnants of USSR in the form of the title “honored”.
“Although, rather, in this case, it is not so much about merit, but about services,” the analyst is confident.
At the same time, he also stressed that the “language law” adopted earlier by the Parliament will act as a trap waiting for Zelensky.
“If Zelensky makes attempts to repeal this law, then the patriots will immediately raise a howl about ‘zrada’ [ed. – betrayal] and that Zelensky surrenders Ukraine to Putin. But if he does not do this, he can lose his basic electorate,” summed up Zolotarev.
