According to the oligarch, Ukrainians would have reconciled long ago if Russia would not interfere.
Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoyskyi said that the war in Eastern Ukraine is a “civil conflict”.
He stated this in an interview with “Bihus.info“.
“Civil conflict, we can say civil war, but this is too global, and this is civil conflict,” he replied about the war in the East.
According to him, in the Eastern Ukraine “Ukrainians are at war with Ukrainians”, and Russia “supports one part of Ukrainians and if it were not, then Ukrainians would have reconciled long ago.”
According to Kolomoyskyi, Russia provoked and organized the conflict but it was the “revolutionaries who ran around the Parliament and repealed laws” who actually spread the “mutual hatred”.
He believes that in Ukraine there is “an internal civil conflict, an internal civil war that has a hot phase in the Donbas and a cold phase throughout the country.”
Kolomoyskyi explained that “the cold phase is hatred towards each other.”
“We understand that in the revolution there are two parties that oppose each other. Same here,” he believes.
However, according to him, during the presidency of Yanukovych, there was a criminal regime and there was no other way but “uprising”.
According to Kolomoyskyi, revolution is always bad. “Maidan is bad because the power of Yanukovych leads to Maidan, but revolution is always bad.”
